Welcome to BunkFest Beer Festival 2006, sponsored by Loddon Brewery. Situated on the Kinecroft, opposite the main stage, head down to the beer tent for a great selection of over 50 real ales, with an emphasis on local independent brewers. Whether you are a seasoned real ale drinker, or have never tried “proper” beer before, you should be able to find a beer style that suits you. Our beer range includes Milds, Porters, Stouts, “Ordinary” Bitters, Best Bitters Strong Ales and more modern Golden and Summer ale styles.
We are also serving quality lager, real cider, fine wine and soft drinks. |

The beer festival has been sponsored by Loddon Brewery. Established by Chris and Vanessa Hearn in the village of Dunsden, between Reading and Henley-on-Thames, the brewery is already highly acclaimed for high quality and consistency. Beers include Hoppit, a traditional well hopped English ale and Ferryman's Gold, a smooth, zesty, aromatic, golden, continental style beer. |
Local Beer is Best!
We are lucky enough to have a variety of local independent breweries close to Wallingford producing some excellent beers. In addition to Loddon these include West Berkshire, Butlers, Vale, Wychwood, Butts, Lovibonds, Windrush, White Horse and others. Try beers from all of these and others from further afield at the BunkFest. You’ll find information about each of these breweries in our tasting notes booklet available from the bar.
Lager Drinker?
If you prefer lager, then we have Cotswold Lager on sale. It is brewed in a dedicated lager brewery near Chipping Norton using only the very best ingredients available and is cold stored for at least four weeks to give a fuller flavour. Two brews are available at 3.8% and 5.0% ABV. They are both cold and fizzy but have bags more flavour than the average mass produced lager.
Alternatively, we have a number of cask conditioned lager style and golden ales. Give one a try, you might be pleasantly surprised by the taste!

Cider Drinker?
We have a great range of real ciders available, from a number of producers. These include Upton Cider, from Upton Fruit Farm just 8 miles from Wallingford. It is made from 100% organic cider apples and has previously won a silver award in the Campaign for Real Ale’s Cider Awards. |

Wine Drinker?
We have an increased range of quality wines this year. These include locally produced wines from Brightwell Vineyard, less than 2 miles from Wallingford. We also have organic wines from further afield. |

A range of soft drinks and snacks are also available at the bar.
Ordering your beer
You will find the beers arranged in alphabetical order by beer name, along the bar. Please order your beers from the marked area close to where your beer is located. This will speed up service and save collisions behind the bar.
Our bar staff are all volunteers, so please be nice to them and be patient at busy times.
If you are visiting us on Sunday, then please be prepared for the choice of beer to diminish as the day progresses.
