About a thousand dancers will take to the streets of Wallingford this year, in an explosion of colour, music and energy! We have a record number of teams, ranging from the traditional to the not quite so traditional, from the exotic to the sublime. Border Morris, Northwest Clog Morris, Cotswold Morris, Molly, Rapper, Step Clog, Appalachian, Welsh Folk Dance, Longsword Dance and Belly Dance will be on display, some teams from the furthest reaches of England and Wales and some from much closer to Wallingford.

Displays take place from 10.30 - 17.00 Saturday and 10.30 - 16.30 Sunday, on the Kinecroft North & South Stages, in the Market Place, The Dolphin, and The George. New for 2006 are the St Martin's St North & South spots as part of our Community Street Fair! As a special dance event this year we have The Big Caper performing at 18.00 Saturday on Kinecroft North Stage. Two top Cotswold Morris teams, Berkshire Bedlam and The Outside Capering Crew, combine to dazzle and amaze you with a feast of frolicsome fabulousness! Also look out for the Rapper teams popping up in unexpected places around the town on Saturday and Sunday afternoons as they make a dancing tour of Wallingford's watering holes!

Beltane Border (Fri) and The Outside Capering Crew (Sat) will be dancing to delight during the Ceilidhs at Wallingford Sports Park, and if all this activity inspires you to dust off your dancing shoes and have a go, we have workshops at the Regal Centre from with Black Annis (Cotswold Morris), Cornucopia (Appalachian), Dawnswyr Tipyn o Bopeth (Welsh Dance), Frome Valley Morris (Longsword), Gog Magog (Molly Dance), The Isisters (Belly Dance), Silver Flame (Rapper) and The Witchmen (Border Morris).
