Foo Foo

Foo Foo are a compelling trio of mothers from deepest, darkest Dorset. 'Better than chocolate', their piquant melodies, syrupy harmonies and foot-tapping rhythms make them powerful contenders for a place high on your 'bands-to-see' list. With influences rooted in swing, ska, Latin and blues these ladies (could they be the real mothers of invention?) tickle and tantalize their audience with characteristic variation - from classic love song to Hungarian riding-crop tune, from whistling blues to Latin instrumental.
Some of these songs have been about for a long time but there is something timeless about them. Jan and Lisa have been writing and playing together for more than a decade entertaining music lovers at Glastonbury and other festivals; in Milan; at music clubs and Chickstick Acoustic gigs around the South West. The introduction of Kate a couple of years ago with her imaginative cello and artful bass brought fresh input and a fabulous third vocal harmony. Her innovative musicality has created a full, 'finished' sound. Foo Foo have made a couple of CDs in their time; 'H2C' was released in 2001 and 'Sweet As Hell' in 2004.
