Mr Alexander's Travelling Show - Will-o'-the-Wisp - The Cosmic Jester - Korfball
Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show
Kinecroft Friday and Saturday
 |
|
Mr Alexander has presented his colourful show in many parts of the world for over twenty years. A highly skilled and energetic blend of magic, juggling, unicycling, acrobalance and illusion, his show appeals to everyone. The unique theatre atmosphere and backdrop provides a timeless setting reminiscent of shows of Victorian music hall. Classic elements such as his linking rings routine blend seamlessly with the more absurd and surrealistic ‘Freddy the tapdancing fish’. New for 2006 is his extraordinary three-chair balance routine which holds and spellbinds crowds as he juggles, balanced precariously on three folding chairs! |
Mr Alexander will be performing throughout his stay at BunkFest and giving his special show at the following times:
Friday 16.30,
Saturday 11.00, 12.30, 14.00, 15.30

Street Fair Saturday and Kinecroft Sunday
Wonderful circus style Street Entertainers visiting us from Australia! Three different circus acts will be here.
The Celts: A pair of Celtic musicians. In long formal stilt pants and lace robes - this talented pair serenade people lying in the grass with Irish jigs and reels and will bring that little bit of extra life to BunkFest. They have also been known to start set dances in the centre of the festival grounds – not sure where they can find to start that at BunkFest – we already have dancing in every spare space!
Milli the Mime: Combining music, comedy, and theatrical mime, Milli will be roaming the festival causing all sorts of silliness. Milli brings a touch of the Aussie quirkiness to the silent art.
Velma the Cabaret Queen: The tallest of Will-o’-the-Wisp’s stilt characters – a thin dark haired queen of jazz in a top hat, sparkling red tails and long fitted stilt pants. She walks with attitude,
tips her hat at passers by and smiles a fabulous Cabaret grin. She has been known to hand out roses or to break into a dance to nearby music. |

JESTER SONG AT TWILIGHT... AS WELL AS STORIES...
...Alan Whittaker is a dab hand on the Bodrahn, Gob Iron, Spoons, and Frattling Board!*
"I am first and foremost an entertainer, I like making people laugh more than anything else in the world. It's good for you too; aerobically, psychologically, it speeds recovery from illness!"
THE JESTERS TASK IS NOT JUST TO MAKE YOU LAUGH!
In his performance poetry he looks at life and spits it back sampled looped and deconstructed.
"I am the Jester,
The Lord of Misrule.
Civic Magician
and urban Tom Fool.
I am one of like hearted people,
A walker between the worlds.
I have walked as a Wolf;
Swum as a swan,
I have seen through the eyes
of an Eagle.
I have worn the cloak of Merlin
and taken flight.
I am the Jester,
Look into the light."
