Based in Canterbury in the south-east of England, Waterhorse is comprised of Terence Reis on vocals and guitars, Sarah Nicholls on vocals, Robin Wilson on violin and vocals, Dudley Ross on guitars, Richard Bates on bass and Paul Townsend on drums and percussion.
Offered both an Artists Agreement with Line 6 and a sponsorship deal with BOSE, the band has been steadily building a following in their native Kent and were invited to the 2006 Bournemouth Music Festival, headlined by Bob Dylan. During the summer they also played, for the third year running, a packed out performance at Folk Week in Broadstairs.
In London they have played, amongst others, venues such as The Troubadour, The Catapult Club, The Bedford Arms, West One Four, The Brixton Telegraph and Blackheath Halls. They opened for James Carrington in his showcase for EMI, Sony and Atlantic Records at Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush. At the historic 100 Club, they were asked to open for both Jerry Fish and The Mudbug Club and TerraFolk.
