How to help with BunkFest 2008 BunkFest is now firmly established as a leading event on the nationwide folk and roots music scene, with fabulous concerts, dance displays, ceilidhs, sessions, workshops, Community Street Fair, a huge craft and trader fair, an enormous beer festival, music on the river and a singing train. It is a major event for the benefit of communities in the town and surrounding villages. BunkFest 2008 will be back to big after last year's inevitably downsized though still lovely mini-fest! The work involved in setting up a festival is tremendous, so a group was formed called the Friends of Wallingford BunkFest. The idea is that we enlist the services of willing people to help out with the enormous number of jobs that need to be done before, during and after the Festival. Helpers can spend as much or as little time as they wish in Festival jobs, leaving as much time as they desire to go to events. Here's a list of typical jobs:
To join the Friends of Wallingford BunkFest, simply fill in a Friends Form and send it to the address below. You can also fax it to 0870 706 1775. To obtain a form please call the number below and we will send one to you or right click here to download a form in pdf format. Our Friends also include the many businesses and organisations who donate goods, services and money.
