Darrell Mitchell & the Occasional Orchestra

In Darrell's words:

I'm a songwriter first and foremost and was also formerly front man and main songwriter with Home & Abroad 'The Tonka Toys of Pop' who released records all over the place but enjoyed their best relationship with Elefant Records; the band's Smoky Town single was Elefant's first ever release! I also played with other bands including Pressgang who covered my song Stain on Your Heart on their Fire album. Now part of an occasional duo Stumble on the Valves; we had our cover of the White Spiritual, Lonesome Valley, included on the 'Whispers from the Offing' CD tribute to Kevin Coyne. Even more importnatly I'm gigging solo with the slowly growing Occasional Orchestra consisting of a rag bag of friends who play all manner of instruments. I'm up for gigs of almost any description, the more the better. I've got a new CD "Japeeza" available mixing new solo tracks and some band stuff and there's also an Official Bootleg recorded live at The Rising Sun Arts Institute in Reading. Problem is I just can't stop writing songs! If anyone is driven to perform or record any of them I'd be happy for you to if you could just let me know you're doing it? Thanks and hope to see you at a gig somewhere cos I can't stop doing those either.
