Colin Stark began his life in a caravan on the Isle of Wight and was born Middlesex. After gender reassignment, he was brought up in Tilehurst and some people say you can still smell the Dettol there. He describes his life so far as having been full of colour, although he’s only paid for a black and white licence. To sum up his outlook on life, he quotes the late, great thinker (and amateur piano player) Dudley Moore, thus; “If you think your life is dull and boring... it is”. The Quintet appear by kind permission of themselves. Mr Stark’s hair stylist is Lesley, of Pangbourne.
