Robert Coyne's 2010 acoustic LP 'Woodland Conspiracy' (Meyer Records) is his latest project in a long and varied career as a guitarist, bassist, drummer and keyboard player for artists including his father, Kevin Coyne, The Barracudas, Silver Chapter, Venus Ray, Eric Burdon, Scientists, Sky Saxon, Chris Wilson and his own Robert Coyne Outfit. Writing and recording with just acoustic guitar or Fender Rhodes piano accompaniment has generated a new, intimate and darkly humorous set of songs reflecting influences ranging from singer-songwriters like Mickey Newbury and David Ackles to Marc Bolan and '50's rock 'n' roll.
