Admission is free... no booking required... just turn up and have a great time!
At Centre 70, off the Kinecroft - Saturday and Sunday
| Come along to our workshops for a fun time exploring folk music, song,
dance and theatre. Designed for all levels of experience, each workshop will
have something in it for you, whether you’re an old hand or a fresh face. All our participants have the opportunity to take part in our Sunday afternoon showcase, which promises to be excellent! |

Led by our enthusiastic and talented young workshop leaders, our workshops are a fantastic place to meet people and make new friends. You can learn new skills: try playing by ear, learn a new kind of dance or sing in a group! Create your own characters in theatre and pull off mighty riffs in our funky band! | |
| Split into two age groups (8 - 11 and 12 - 19), the workshops last around an hour. Our weekend timetable is below and on leaflets available at the festival. You can join in on any day or just try one day to see what it’s like. Bring your instruments and dancing shoes! Parents: whilst we keep our workshops a participants-only space, we’d love to see you at our showcase to cheer us on! |  |

10.50 - 11.35 Young Band for ages 8 - 11 - build a brilliant band
11.40 - 12.25 Young Theatre for ages 8 - 11 - energetic theatre experiments!
12.30 - 13.15 Beginner’s Whistle for ages 8 - 19 - having a tooting
time trying whistle
14.00 - 15.00 Old Dance for ages 12 - 19 - get your feet flying with morris!
15.00 - 16.00 Old Band for ages 12 - 19 - grow great grooves from cool tunes
16.00 - 17.15 Old Theatre for ages 12 - 19 - make magic moves from
strange stories!
The Shooting Roots Showcase happens Sunday 17.45 - 18.05 at the Kinecroft Big Stage. Everyone welcome!
