Simon started his melodeon playing as a 9 year old with Moulton Morris Men. He formed his own ceilidh band at the age of 15 and played his first festival, Broadstairs, when he was 17. Since then he has joined many bands including The Albion Band, Edward II, Tickled Pink, Whapweasel, The Cock and Bull Band, The Phil Beer Band and many more... he has always kept himself grounded in the dance traditions of England and that is where he feels most comfortable.
