Steve Smith

Steve first picked up a guitar at age 17, and so began a love affair with playing and performing that shows no sign of ending. His performing career to date has seen him acting and giving after-dinner speeches, as well as playing and singing, as a soloist and in several bands, in a variety of theatres and halls, pubs and clubs. During his days on the folk club circuit, he appeared with Ralph McTell, Jasper Carrott, Cyril Tawney, Noel Murphy and many others. His repertoire has always included humorous material alongside the more serious stuff. He believes that laughter is a life-enhancing force, or as he puts it, ‘You have to have a sense of humour when you support Tottenham Hotspur!'
